Reporting to you live from Disney World!

Well, as if this is a surprise to anyone, we don't get internet for free at our hotel. Sarah paid for it for just one day. That is not enough time to give you a very good update, but I will tell you we are having a great time. The rain hasn't been too bad, at least so far. We miss everyone, and hope you enjoy the couple of pictures below from our first couple of days. We will give a full day by day summary when we get home. See you all soon!

It is time...

It is finally here!!! Time to go on vacation. Sarah and I are both so excited for this. I hope you all feel for Sarah knowing she is stuck with me and all my stress during our day of traveling so I make sure we get where we need to be. Oh, and not to mention all the planning that I have and will do. I hope we can handle all the time alone with each other.

Hopefully we will be able to post from this blog during our trip, as Sarah did purchase a laptop, so with any luck you will be hearing from us soon. The plan is to leave our house at 6:15am tomorrow morning. Both our mom and dad will be driving us. (I hope no one feels bad for them since they are going on vacation the week after we get back and I have to take them to the Ontario airport at like 4 in the morning!)

I would now like to give a special thanks to my GM, who will be holding down the fort for our fantasy football team. My team, The Ginny Brigade, is awesome no matter what with just the name alone.

Off to the Polynesian. Aloha!

12 Days of Vacation

Only 12 days left until we leave. Sarah emailed me at work and asked me how many days we had left. I responded with 12 (of course I knew), in which she said, like the 12 days of Christmas. I then responded with a the following list that we completed together throughout the day. It really brightened both of our work days. In case you can't tell, you have to sing it like the 12 days of Christmas (you know, the one with the partridge in the pear tree). I hope someone else enjoys this as well.

12 riders on the people mover
11 trips to Epcot
10 character photo ops
9 marshmallows on smores
8 times on Monorail Red
7 rides in Norway
6 trips to mars
5 test track runs!
4 dinosaur encounters
3 sudden down pours
2 kaki gori
and a snack in the concierge lounge

School's Out Forever!

Ahhh! Only 20 days left until vacation!!! Seriously, I can't wait. Here is a quick update of what me and my exit buddy have been up to.

First of all, shopping, duh! I figure we will be there about 10 days, so I need to pack about 20 shirts. I am pretty much covered after two good weekends of shopping. Not so sure what Sarah plans on doing. I am dying to start packing now, but I know it is still too early for that. Once I do start packing, it will just make the vacation that more real. It is really hard to believe I am going to Disney World in less than a month. Speaking of packing, we both found some luggage we liked at Kohl's this past weekend, and it was on sale, score! I still haven't found a purse I like. Hopefully I can find something soon.

In other vacation news, I have my video camera, tried it out and love it. The only thing I haven't done is upload the software on my computer. Don't worry, its on my list. Come on now, you know I have a list. In related news, Sarah also has her camera and has yet to upload her software. Maybe we can race!

As we are leaving in just a few short weeks, I called our travel agent to see where all our travel stuff was, such as the Disney luggage tags and such. I am happy to report I get to pick these items up on Saturday. Then I get to ask my dozens of questions about all the fears I have such as: how do you check in at the airport, how many luggage pieces can I check in, does it cost anything, how do we get on the magical express, how do we check in to the hotel, how do we check in for our returning flight???? Basically I need to make sure they give me all my information then and there.

In totally unrelated news, I have officially been working at my firm for over a year! Woop woop! Now that I have been working for over a year, I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!

The Final Countdown!

It seems like everyone is taking a vacation these days. Whether they are taking a trip somewhere, or just taking a break from work. I just keep think to myself soon it will be my turn. Then of course I go to a calendar to count exactly how many days I have left. I thought to myself, there has to be something easier. Behold, my countdown clock! Now I will know exactly how long until I get to go to Disney World. For anyone interested, the exact time it is counting down to is the time our plane should be landing in Flordia.
In other vacation news, our travel agent no longer works for AAA. I am a little sad, as I really liked her, and I know she worked hard to get us what we wanted. Now we have a new travel agent who called me to discuss our vacation. I returned her call, leaving her a message on Wednesday. I learned my parent's have her for a travel agent as well (they are going on a cruise to Alaska). My dad called her Wednesday as well, and got a same day reply. What's with that? I still haven't heard back from her, and they are closed until Monday. Oh well. Now onto celebrate my 4th of July three day weekend!

Big bang is back!

Great news! I have made all the reservations for our vacation, now we simply have to show up. Being the dork I am, I made a schedule of all the places we wanted to eat at, and assigned each place a day. The restaurants that were the most popular was La Cellier, which is the restaurant in Canada, and Cinderella's Royal Table. I had to rearrange my schedule, but it all turned out good in the end. I am excited to be eating at the castle for the first time, but let me tell you, it is expensive! Next on my list of things to do is buy a video camera. The countdown begins, only 75 more days until we leave!

Ready to rumble!

The big vacation in September is ready to roll. Almost all the confirmations are in place and things look to be going well... except for the part where my boss has not yet approved of my vacation officially and the whole pre-vacation weight loss plan. At least there are things to do I guess and Emilee can't handle those ones for me.

At least we've got the blog up, right? There's a start. I haven't done all the software stuff for my camera, but I'm sure pictures will come eventually. Or at least they will as long as there's a consensus on what passes as a good picture between myself and my esteemed partner in crime.

Yay, first to post!
